|The Swan ... Dive||Ed Michel|

|Just saw a skit on SNL that was a parody of "The Swan" the reality show.
The thought occured to me, what about a short (movie ... I've done a couple of these) about people getting reconstructive surgery after failed attempts at taking a Swan Dive. Could be in an empty pool or off a poorly chosen cliff.
Couldn't be any worse than the current crop of reality shows. After all, there's also one called "I'm Still Alive".
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't actually make a movie like this. It would be exploiting people in unfortunate situations. I just had the germ of a thought and got a little chuckle at how plausible it would be to find it on network telivision in the near future.
Let's be serious here, we have people getting married for money (Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire), people risking their lives for bragging rights (Fear Factor) and even attempts to turn gay people straight (Boy meets Boy).
As I said before, could my thought be any worse than the current crop?
I'll let you ponder that until the next installment ...
