Background

Some clients like BeydaforBooks (top), Thematic Attic (middle) and Platinum Auto Trends (below) have special needs not generally available for purchase through retail channels. Some of the work is design and some of it is custom programming involving graphics, data cleaning or simply getting a lot of data organized. My specialty is PHP with MySQL, but I've also done 3D-Rendering and some other out of the ordinary stuff.

Features

A number of things I've done for clients are administrative and can't be demonstrated publicly, but here's a sampling.
  • Custom data imports and EDI type functions.
  • Data Cleaning ... Do you have an old Point of Sale system with data you want to import into an e-commerce setting. If the data has collected over a long period of time, odds are it's a mess. I can create custom applications large or small that will help sanitize and standardize that data.
  • 3D renderings with a custom 3D engine.
  • Custom rendered detail pages. For an example see ThematicAttic.com. If you search for "border", "banner" or "poster", then go to the details page for any product, you'll see the product around a virtual blackboard. Borders get wrapped around the blackboard, posters end up on the wall beside it and banners appear above or beside the blackboard. Anything not in these categories shows on the standard details page.
  • Graphics from data. This can take many forms from pie charts to line graphs or almost anything you need.
  • User tracking and lockdown with alerts to prevent clients from sharing sensitive login information and data.
  • General consultations are also available.
  • You can click on the thumbnail of the webpage to see the live website. (The interface for ThematicAttic has changed significantly since the original design and they are in the middle of moving their operation.)
Contract Details
  • I can create a website for you using these or other website as a template. Once we negotiate the details of the products you want to sell and your business model, we can either use PayPal® as with this site or we can setup a regular merchant account where your customers won't see the PayPal® branding. PayPal® is cheaper, but may not present the best image depending on what you are selling or if you have a large number of items to sell.
Pricing

Custom design or programming can range from trivial to very complex. I tend to charge on an hourly basis for these jobs, but I'm very fair. Feel free to ask my clients. Most of the bigger jobs have a feedback feature on their website.
